Limo Service Bay Harbor Islands to Palm Beach International
Updated by the Sky Limo Service dispatch team

The run from Bay Harbor Islands to Palm Beach International is one of the longer airport transfers we drive out of the Miami barrier islands, and the first decision happens before you even leave town: which way off the island. The Broad Causeway (96th Street) puts you on the mainland in North Miami in a few minutes, and from there it is I-95 north almost the entire way — about 70 miles door to door, which works out to roughly 80 to 95 minutes when the highway behaves.
How the drive actually goes
I-95 through North Miami-Dade and Broward is the variable. Between 7 and 9:30 on a weekday morning, the stretch from the Golden Glades interchange up through Fort Lauderdale can add 25 to 40 minutes on its own. Our chauffeurs will sometimes jump to Florida’s Turnpike at the Golden Glades when the express lanes are jammed, since the Turnpike runs parallel and carries less commuter load north of the county line. Past Boca Raton the road opens up, and the exit for PBI is Belvedere Road, right off I-95 — the airport sits practically on the interstate, which is one of the reasons Palm Beach arrivals feel so painless.
When to leave Bay Harbor Islands
For a domestic departure out of PBI, we recommend leaving three hours before wheels-up on a weekday morning, and two and a half hours midday or on weekends. PBI is a compact, single-terminal airport with concourses A, B, and C, so once you are dropped at the curb you are rarely more than ten minutes from your gate area. The drive is the long pole here, not the airport.
What the ride costs
A trip in this distance band books from $179 in a Business Sedan, which seats three passengers with three bags. Our SUVs run about 20 percent more and carry six passengers with six bags — the right call for families heading up for a Palm Beach weekend. The quote you get at booking is fixed and all-inclusive: tolls, fuel, and gratuity are already in the number, and the price you see at booking is the price you pay. You can compare vehicle classes on the fleet page before you choose.
Coming back from PBI
On the return, your chauffeur tracks the inbound flight and meets you inside at baggage claim with a name sign. Sixty minutes of waiting time after landing is included, so a slow bag carousel or a long customs line does not start a meter. If you land during the evening rush, the southbound ride home takes closer to an hour and three quarters — worth knowing before you promise anyone a dinner reservation in Bal Harbour.
Plenty of our Bay Harbor Islands clients also fly out of Fort Lauderdale, which is less than a third of the distance — see the Surfside to FLL guide for how that shorter run works. And if you are starting from the mainland side, the Hialeah to PBI route follows much of the same northbound path.
Is the Turnpike or I-95 faster to PBI?
Off-peak, I-95 wins because it is the direct line. During weekday rush, the Turnpike often saves 15 to 20 minutes between Golden Glades and Boca Raton. Our drivers decide based on live traffic, not habit.
Can I book a very early pickup?
Yes. We operate 24/7, and 4 a.m. departures out of Bay Harbor Islands are routine for first-bank flights out of PBI.
