Limo Service Hillsboro Beach to Palm Beach International

Hillsboro Beach travelers get a genuine choice of airports: Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood is about 20 miles south, Palm Beach International about 34 miles north. This guide covers the PBI run — and helps you decide when it is the right call in the first place.

PBI or FLL from the barrier island?

Paired up honestly:

Palm Beach International — the case for

  • Single compact terminal, concourses A, B, and C; you can be at your gate 25 minutes after stepping out of the car.
  • Calmer curb, shorter security, easier meet-ups on arrival.
  • Often the better choice for legacy-carrier itineraries and Palm Beach-bound visitors.

Palm Beach International — the case against

  • Fewer nonstops than FLL, especially on low-cost carriers.
  • 14 more road miles each way from Hillsboro Beach.

FLL — the short version

  • More flights, more airlines, lower fares on Southwest, JetBlue, and Spirit; a bigger, busier, slower building. We cover that direction separately in the Hillsboro Beach to FLL guide.

Our dispatcher’s rule of thumb: same fare, similar times — take PBI for the calmer experience. Fare gap over $75 a ticket — take FLL and let the savings pay the difference.

The drive north

Pickups on the island start on A1A — there is no other street — then cross to the mainland at Hillsboro Boulevard in Deerfield Beach and join I-95 north. From there it is a straight run up through Boca and Delray to the Belvedere Road exit for PBI. Count on 45 to 55 minutes normally; a weekday afternoon between 4 and 7 p.m. can push it past an hour on the Boca-Delray stretch, and we schedule around that rather than into it.

One local reality worth naming: the drawbridges. The Hillsboro Inlet bridge opens on demand for marine traffic, and a badly timed opening costs 10 minutes before you even leave the island. Your driver builds that into the pickup time.

What it costs

At about 34 miles, this trip lands in our 15-35 mile band: fixed quotes from $89 for a business sedan (3 passengers, 3 bags), roughly 20 percent more for the 6-passenger SUV that condo groups traveling with golf bags tend to prefer. The quote is locked when you book — tolls, tip, and waiting time included — and the price you see at booking is the price you pay. Vehicle-by-vehicle details are on the fleet page.

Returning into PBI, your driver tracks the flight and waits at baggage claim with a name sign; 60 minutes of included waiting means a slow arrival costs nothing extra. For a building with a gate code or a private community entrance, add the note at booking and dispatch passes it to the driver.

Neighboring routes

Just south of the inlet, the logistics are nearly identical from Lighthouse Point — see the Lighthouse Point to FLL guide — and mainland neighbors can start with Deerfield Beach to PBI.

When you are ready, book with a fixed quote. Two minutes, flight number in, done.
