How the timing works

1. Find your check-in window. Most ships out of Port Everglades assign arrival slots between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Earlier slots mean shorter lines.
2. Work backward. From central Boca — say, near Mizner Park or Town Center — allow 45 minutes of drive time, plus 10 for port security and terminal traffic.
3. Book the pickup an hour before your slot opens. An 11:00 window means a 10:00 pickup. That cushion absorbs an I-95 slowdown without turning your morning into a sprint.

Saturday and Sunday are the heavy turnaround days at Port Everglades, with multiple ships boarding at once. Eller Drive backs up between noon and 1:30 p.m., so we push clients toward the early side of their window whenever the ship allows it.

Which terminal, which ship

Port Everglades has over two dozen berths, and your terminal assignment matters more than people expect — Terminal 25 (Celebrity) and Terminal 2 (Princess, Holland America) are on opposite sides of the port loop. Your cruise line emails the terminal number a few days out; drop it in your booking notes and your chauffeur routes straight there instead of following the general cruise signage.

Luggage math for cruise trips

Disembarkation is the part most travelers under-plan. Ships clear customs between roughly 7:30 and 10 a.m., and self-assist walk-offs exit first.
