The run itself

Atlantis sits between Lake Worth and Lantana on the Palm Beach County side, and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International is about 46 miles south. Clean roads, no shortcuts needed: local streets to I-95, then straight down to the airport exits at I-595/US-1. Off-peak, call it 55 to 65 minutes door to door. Between 7:00 and 9:30 on a weekday morning, the I-95 stretch through Boca Raton and Deerfield Beach adds 15 to 25 minutes, and occasionally more when there is an incident.

Florida’s Turnpike is the fallback. It runs a few miles west, costs a little in tolls, and moves when I-95 does not. Our chauffeurs make that call on the day based on live conditions — it is not a decision you need to think about.

Timing math for that morning flight

Work backwards from the 10:40 departure. Southwest wants bags dropped 45 minutes out, and FLL security on a winter Saturday deserves respect, so aim to be curbside at Terminal 1 by 9:00. Add 65 minutes of driving plus a cushion for the I-95 variable and you get a 7:30 pickup in Atlantis. For a 7:00 a.m. flight, the same math points to a 4:45 pickup — early, but the roads are empty at that hour and the drive drops under an hour.

Coming home

On the return, we track your inbound flight, and the 60 minutes of included waiting time starts after the wheels touch down — late arrivals do not generate awkward phone calls. Your chauffeur meets you at baggage claim with a name sign, which matters at FLL because the terminals share a busy loop road and curbside pickups get shooed along by traffic officers.
