Limo Service Belle Glade to Fort Lauderdale Airport

Limo Service Belle Glade to Fort Lauderdale Airport

Belle Glade sits on the southeastern rim of Lake Okeechobee, a solid 68 road miles from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International. Out here rideshare coverage is spotty at best — drivers rarely position in the Glades — so a scheduled private car is less a comfort choice and more the only dependable way to make a flight.

Two routes out, and when each wins

There are two sensible ways to get from Belle Glade to FLL, and we alternate between them depending on the clock.

East on SR-80, then south. Take SR-80 toward West Palm Beach, pick up Florida’s Turnpike or I-95 southbound, and ride it down to the airport exits. This is usually the faster line outside of rush hour and keeps you on divided highway longest.

South on US-27. Run US-27 down the edge of the Everglades, then swing east on I-75 and I-595 straight into the airport. Fewer traffic lights, almost no congestion, and it neatly avoids the I-95 corridor entirely. When a weekday pickup would put us on I-95 through Boca and Deerfield between 4 and 7 p.m., US-27 wins even though the mileage is similar.

Either way, plan on about an hour and 25 minutes of driving in normal conditions, and closer to an hour 45 if the schedule forces the coastal route at peak.

When to schedule the pickup

Working backward from a departure at FLL:

  • Domestic flight: arrive 2 hours early, add the 90-minute drive, add a 20-minute cushion. For a 10 a.m. flight, we ring your doorbell at 6:10.
  • International or holiday travel: stretch the cushion to 30-40 minutes.
  • Early-morning flights are actually the easy ones — the roads out of the Glades are empty at 4 a.m. and the drive runs quick.

Your driver watches the flight before leaving the garage, so a delayed departure can shift the pickup rather than strand you at the terminal five hours early.

What the ride costs

At 68 miles, Belle Glade to FLL falls in our 60-90 mile band: fixed quotes start from $179 in a business sedan (3 passengers, 3 bags). An SUV for six runs about 20 percent more, and the 14-seat Sprinter about 80 percent more — which, split among a church group or a harvest-season crew flying out together, comes to very little per person. Tolls, fuel, waiting time, and tip are all inside the quote; the price you see at booking is the price you pay. Request your quote here or compare vehicles on the fleet page.

Coming home

On the return, the driver tracks your inbound flight and meets you at baggage claim with a name sign — 60 minutes of waiting after landing is included, so a slow bag carousel costs you nothing. That matters on this route: missing a rideshare match at FLL when your home is 68 miles west is an expensive problem.

Nearby Glades routes

We run the same service from the neighboring lake towns: see the South Bay to Fort Lauderdale Airport guide and the Clewiston to FLL route. Flying out of Palm Beach International instead? It is 45 miles from Belle Glade — closer, though often with fewer flight options — and our Harlem to PBI guide covers that side of the lake.
